What the EFC Women on Board Programme Offers Women are still underrepresented in football leadership — only 18% of C-level roles are held by women today. The WOBP is here to change that.
Through practical learning, mentoring and peer support, the programme helps participants build the skills and confidence to take on senior decision-making roles — at their clubs, associations or across football.
Developed with the EFC Sustainability team and aligned with EFC’s governance reforms, the programme is a key driver of diversity and inclusion in football. EFC has set clear targets — at least 25% female representation on its board by 2027 and 35% by 2030 — and the WOBP is central to delivering on that commitment.
Who Should Join the EFC Women on Board Programme? The programme is open to women in active senior roles within EFC Member Clubs or EFC staff who are either already operating at board or executive level or are identified as high-potential leaders on the pathway to these positions.
