Bringing Clubs Together

EFC events are where European clubs connect, collaborate and shape the future of club football. From large-scale meetups to targeted workshops, our events give members the chance to share knowledge, exchange ideas and talk about solutions to drive the club game forward.

EFC General Assembly  The EFC General Assembly is our flagship event of the year. It brings together many hundreds of senior leaders from members, football partners and stakeholders and the wider sports community to discuss, debate and shape the future direction of club football. The most recent General Assembly – our 32nd and first as EFC – took place in Rome from 7-9 October 2025 and was a milestone event with the launch of our new brand, the announcement that we had surpassed 800 Member Clubs and the inaugural meeting of the EFC Women’s Network. Club Connect  Club Connect is our series of practical conferences which focus on key on and off pitch areas of the game — from men’s football and commercial development to people & culture and sustainability. Built around open discussion and real-world case studies, Club Connect gives clubs direct access to new ideas and proven approaches that they can take home and put into action. The format is simple: fewer presentations, more conversation. It is about learning from each other and finding solutions together. In March 2025 we delivered a Club Connect focused on men’s football in Madrid, with insightful opinions and case studies shared by legendary coach and football visionary Arsene Wenger and panel sessions from sporting and performance leaders from dozens of clubs. Academy Visits Our Academy Visits are hands-on learning experiences designed to share knowledge and best practice in youth football and player development. Each visit takes participants inside leading club academies across Europe, offering a close-up look at how different environments nurture young talent — both on and off the pitch. Through open discussion, live observation and practical workshops, Academy Visits give clubs the opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from innovative approaches and explore what makes successful youth pathways work in the real world.
