About EFC

Events

European Football Clubs is the central voice for professional European clubs, recognised by both UEFA and FIFA as the sole independent body for clubs in Europe. With a robust and growing membership now exceeding 800 clubs across UEFA’s 55 national associations, EFC champions the issues that matter most to every club, regardless of size. Under the leadership of Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and a diverse Board representing clubs across Europe, EFC is committed to safeguarding, strengthening, and promoting its members’ interests.

Founded in 2008, EFC has delivered impactful programmes such as the FIFA Club Protection Programme and the UEFA Club Benefits Programme. Our work is rooted in five pillars: Integrity, Collaboration, Excellence, Inclusivity, Forward Thinking and Operational Excellence. Together, these values drive EFC’s mission to unite clubs and stakeholders across Europe, fostering a collaborative and empowered football ecosystem where clubs play a leading role in shaping the game.

Mission

We exist to support the growth, development, and success of European football clubs both on and off the pitch. Our aim is to develop football by promoting sustainable club growth across all areas.

In September 2024, the EFC Board approved revisions to EFC’s organisational regulations, amending the membership structure. This update merges the Partner/Network category into the Associated Member category across the respective Subdivisions, meaning that all clubs within the EFC family are now recognised as “true members.”
