Raphael Landthaler is a highly experienced football executive with proven expertise in finance, licensing and competition reform across European football.
He spent five years as Finance Director of SK Rapid Wien, managing financial strategy, licensing compliance and long-term planning for one of Austria’s most successful clubs. He later joined the Board of the Austrian Bundesliga, where he was responsible for licensing and strengthening financial governance across the league.
Raphael has also worked with Viktoria Plzeň, advising the Czech champions on financial and strategic matters to support their continued domestic and European success.
At continental level, he has served on the EFC Board and contributed to the task force that reformed the UEFA Europa League, focusing on competitive balance, financial distribution and opportunities for clubs across Europe.
Alongside his direct club roles, Raphael has advised numerous organisations on financial and strategic development, making him a respected voice in football governance and administration.
