This has included working closely with UEFA on expanding access to both men’s and women’s UEFA Club Competitions (UCCs) and working alongside FIFA to develop their international club competitions, such as the FIFA Club World Cup. Our work with UEFA – detailed in an EFC-UEFA Memorandum of Understanding which runs through 2033 - has guaranteed over €440 million annually in solidarity payments (money distributed to clubs to promote fair development and sustainability across football), including to the many hundreds of clubs not participating in European club competitions. Additionally, through our work with FIFA in developing the FIFA Club World Cup, we worked to secure $250 million of solidarity funding for clubs across the world not competing in the recent global club competition which took place in the U.S. in the summer of 2025.
