While EFC has no role in the application of the regulations in relation to individual cases, we do work with UEFA and other stakeholders to ensure the views and interests of clubs are fully considered as rules evolve and develop. We believe in regulations and policies that work for clubs of all sizes and support long-term financial stability across European football. At EFC we provide general guidance to clubs, create detailed financial analysis and reports and host events which bring club finance experts together to ensure clubs fully understand the regulations and can navigate them in confidence.

Clubs which aspire to participate in UEFA competitions are subject to UEFA licensing which includes a set of minimum criteria clubs must meet in areas such as personnel, infrastructure, youth, sporting, legal and financial. Clubs that do participate in UEFA club competitions must also adhere to UEFA’s financial regulations which are designed to encourage positive investment and financial sustainability in clubs.
